The library has some textbooks on reserve, usually for heavily-enrolled courses. See the Books on Reserve link below or call the circulation desk at 743-2260 to talk to a staff member.

  • Reserve books are located on the top floor of the library, near the reference desk.
  • Bring the book to the reference desk to borrow it, with a photo ID.
  • You can use these reserve items in the library only, for up to two hours.
  • We usually have one copy per course.
  • Students are generally expected to obtain their own textbooks as a basic requirement for a course. (And yes, they can be expensive!)
  • Occasionally, a required book might be a classic novel or other book that the library has in its circulating collection. If so, search it in the Start Your Research Here box on the library's home page, linked below. Students can borrow circulating books for 16 weeks.

To check what textbooks you need: go to Banner > course listing > click link to the "Get textbook information" which leads you to Barnes and Noble Bookstore website.

You may also check with advising@sunyacc.edu for help with registration, textbooks and financial aid.

If you are done with a textbook and would like to donate it to the library instead of selling it back, please talk to a librarian. Students taking that course later will thank you.
