You can "borrow" an electronic book through the ebrary service to a device for two weeks. See Online Books, linked below.
It's really easy to just read it online without borrowing it. You can read and download chapters.
Please note that you need a student or employee SUNY Adirondack username and password to access e-books from off-campus.
