When you visit the CRW, you’ll meet with a tutor to discuss your assignment. If it’s a reading assignment, then you’ll discuss different reading strategies (e.g. note taking, highlighting, etc). If it’s a writing assignment, then you’ll brainstorm ideas or discuss the content of your draft. Some students visit the CRW for help with grammar and punctuation. Other students seek a reader’s response. Others just want to chat about their assignments, study skills or college experiences. Each CRW tutor is trained to work with people as individuals; therefore, each tutoring session will be different, as your individual concerns determine the nature of your session.
